Artist and designer Inga Elín has a long period of study behind her. After graduating from the Reykjavík School of Art, she went on for a five-year period to study at the Iceland Academy of the Arts followed by a further five years with Denmark Design in Copenhagen.
Inga Elín has held numerous private exhibitions as well as in collaboration with other artists both at home and abroad, receiving many prizes and awards for her work. Mention must be made of the Kunsthandvaerkereprisen, an award bestowed by Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
Eyjafjalla Bowls
Beautiful small ceramic bowls designed and made by Inga Elín. The brown colouring is achieved using ash from the Eyjafjallajökull eruption in the Spring of 2010. The bowls are stoneware, baked at 1280 degrees.
Each bowl is unic and there can be a little diffrence between each bowl
